Dubuque, IA – (February 20, 2008) – The Dubuque Regional Airport, Dubuque Jet Center, and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 327 announce a Young Eagle flight for interested youth on Saturday, February 23rd from 10 am to 12 noon to be held at the Dubuque jet Center. 

The Young Eagles program is a free one-time local area flight for children ages 8 through 17 in a general aviation aircraft. Persons interested in flying on Saturday need to contact Bill Fitch at 563-557-9480 to schedule a flight.

Nationally, the Young Eagles Program has safely flown over 1,300,000 children since the program’s inception in 1993. The program is designed to give children the opportunity to discover the joy and opportunities available in aviation.

Sunday, February 24th is the alternate date if weather precludes flying on Saturday. Parent or Guardian written approval on EAA forms is required.
